Snail

The snails have gained all of the v18 system/memory updates, as well as support for the upcoming Magic Circle v1.6 update.   Some particles have been changed to attempt to make them size-better with the various snails sizes.

    The snail's racial type determines their base body texture (all of which are quite colorful!)and changes the base brightness of their shell.  Common have slightly more dull shells, while rarer snails have slightly brighter shells.

** The Fairy World/Portal systems use different channels from your garden.  They do not lag your existing garden and they do not interact with your pets' breedable functions in any way.  The Fairy World/Portal system is an extra way to collect rewards and compete with other breeders, but it is 100% optional and it in no way affects the offspring of your pets.  The Fairy World/Portal system is not even remotely ready yet.  It will be an ongoing project to add a little more fun to the Papillon pets.  That having been said, demo versions of the Portal may appear in the near future for your little snails to go on adventures and acquire some experience and loot.  There will eventually be a dueling system as well, where bloodthirsty snails can battle each other to test their might.**

All of the characteristics of the Snails also have various benefits and modifiers to the upcoming Fairy Worlds system that is built into them.  The Snails are an important part of the Fairy World architecture and are responsible for protecting and maintaining Fairy Portals.  The snail's race, size, and radiance affects the snail's basic combat characteristics.
 
    Racial Type determines the snail's basic combat bonuses.
    Radiance determines initial magic.
    Size determines base life .
    Class determines basic combat actions.

Fairy Portals are unstable, and can open and close at any moment.  Not only the Fairy Worlds themselves, but also Spider Nests and other dangerous worlds exist beyond the portals.  While the snails and other Fairytale creatures hope to gain magic and support from the Fairy Worlds that they have been exiled from, or became lost from, it is also possible for the nefarious Spider Nests to siege your Fairy Portal (don't worry, no actual visual spiders will every appear).

Once a Fairy Portal opens it may yield a Fairy Merchant, a Fairy Enchanter, or...perhaps, even an invading spider army!  It is important to keep battle-ready Fairytale pets nearby to defeat the invading forces before they can steal supplies from your Fairy Portal.  The larger your Fairy Portal's Garrison, the less likely it is for invading enemies to steal your supplies or cause damage to the portal itself.

Your Snails, Workers, and Foremen are able to gather supplies over time, with increased supplies gained from powerful gardens and boosts that the Snails, Workers, and Foremen have access to.  When enough supplies are gathered, a portal to a Fairy World can be opened to trade the supplies for marvelous prizes such as Elixirs and unique equipment for your Snails to make use of.

Immortal Snails cannot be reduced below 1 Life (which that means they cannot ever lose their gear, but still stop fighting below 5 Life)
Possessed Snails cannot be reduced below 1 Life, and also have special abilities from other classes!
Perpetual Snails cannot be reduced below 5 Life (which means that they can always battle and will never lose their gear!)

Snail Personalities affect not only their combat, but also their interactions with the portal and the events that occur.  Similar to plant personalities, Snail personalities all have a positive effect on the Snail, but some are obviously more beneficial than others.

    "Cruel" - Damage increase!
    "Helpful" - Medics heal better, Snails/Workers/Foremen produce more Supplies!
    "Dependable" - Less likely to lose gear or rank advancement when reduced to 0 life!
    "Intelligent" - Out-thinks enemies, increasing Offense and Defense!
    "Careful" - Significantly increases Defense!
    "Lazy" - Generates extra XP from combat by taking other Snail's credit!
    "Steadfast" - Resistant to webs and immune to stuns from critical hits!
    "Calm" - Immune to the fear-effect of Titans, Dragons, and Liches!
    "Perceptive" - More likely to get better loot!
    "Absentminded" - They're already confused and immune to Confusion-effects!
    "Deceptive" - Gets far more gold when trading in baubles!
    "Devious" - Increased chance of critical hits and special-attack actions based on classes!
    "Impatient" - More likely to win initiative and strike enemies before they can strike the Snail!
