{Papillon} Prismatic Crystal Information
{Papillon} The Prismatic Crystal...

So. I made another something. Yet another something to help clean up your gardens and combine your bonuses. Take a look at the notecard below for information. It's available near the entrance to the store, for anyone that wants to give it a shot.
Please be aware that this is something that permanently consumes a pet to gain power, so please don't feed it your favorite flutter =)
------ NOTECARD -----
This crystal is designed to store your garden's magic within itself so that your various pets don't need to stay out simply to do their job. When you use the 'Store' option on the Prismatic Crystal, it will permanently absorb a pet into itself and gain its magic at the tier and progress that the pet itself had. This magic is then used to reproduce the pet's boosts throughout the day for as long as the Prismatic Crystal exists.
Prismatic Crystals affect your entire garden, taking the place of an Amplifier once properly loaded.
There is no statistical advantage to using a Prismatic Crystal. It is identical to owning each individual pet, just fewer prims and scripts involved and likely a more uniform application of the same bonuses over time. I got tired of waiting for the Amplifier to collect pets and what not, so this came about as an alternative.
===========================================
Once a pet's magic has been absorbed, the Crystal begins doing its job and gains experience and progress towards new tiers just like the pet would. The Crystal is capable of displaying the magic that it has absorbed using the 'Stats' blue menu option, and something similar to the below local chat will appear:
{Papillon} Prismatic Crystal: Class/Work Data:
• Tier-3 (+0) Godmother • [88 of 1280 XP]
• Tier-5 (+0) Princess • [111 of 6480 XP]
• Tier-7 (+0) Saint • [123 of 20480 XP]
• Tier-2 (+0) Bard • [50 of 405 XP]
• Tier-6 (+0) Sorcerer • [444 of 12005 XP]
• Tier-8 (+0) Worker • [765 of 32805 XP]
• Tier-1 (+0) Alchemist • [4 of 80 XP]
• Tier-5 (+0) Caretaker • [222 of 6480 XP]
• Tier-2 (+0) Queen • [123 of 405 XP]
• Tier-3 (+0) Cloudseeder • [98 of 1280 XP]
Dreamers, Witchdoctors, Soldiers, Hunters, Cullers, Troopers, and similar pets that do not have a wide-spread use are converted into Workers if added to the Crystal. EIdolons perform their base duties, but do not perform their Dreamer duties if loaded into a Prismatic Crystal.
A 'Work' option exists on the Crystal's blue menu that can order it to perform the pet's jobs immediately, though the individual jobs gain no experience when it is forced in this way. Hovertext will appear above the crystal when it is working, displaying the current job and progress through the cycle.
The list could obviously be very long if every class and archtype are loaded into the Crystal, and this will appropriately make it take longer to cycle through the classes when it works. There are hard-set gaps within the work script's commands to make sure that it doesn't flood the sim and cause a bottleneck in your garden's operation. These gaps may cause the Crystal to take a minute or more to do all of its work, but the majority of this is time slept between commands.
Adding a pet-class to the Crystal of Tier-5 or higher that already exists within the Crystal will add bonus XP towards the Crystal's tier in that job. An individual job within a Crystal cannot exceed Tier-25, which is beyond the hardcap for most bonuses anyway. The amount of bonus XP gained in this way is not necessarily a productive way of forcefully increasing the job's tier.
===========================================
There is currently NO way to recover a pet that has been stored within the Crystal. The Crystal does not store all of the vital data for each and every pet and cannot recall it once it has been absorbed; only the type, class, tier, and any body mutations that may contribute towards tier are kept within the Crystal's lists.
A Prismatic Crystal that drops below 5000b active memory cannot absorb more pet-classes. Even when loaded with 40+ classes/archtypes there was still memory to spare, though it did take more than two minutes to do all of those jobs. That having been said, those 40 jobs would have been 20-30 pets with classes and archtypes and hundreds of scripts, instead of one pretty little crystal.
The Prismatic Crystal can be set to operate on a 5 minute, 10 minute, 20 minute, or 30 minute timer. Most of the bonuses provided by your pets are maintained for hours at a time; there's no reason for most of them to be constantly spamming their boosts just for it to be recorded and re-recorded over and over without changing. Load some pets in, tell your Prismatic Crystal to 'Work' so that it immediately does the new jobs, and leave it to its business. The amount of experience gained towards next tier is proportional to the chosen timer; they all end up giving the same amount in the end. The Prismatic Crystal gains bonus XP for all included pets from Hermit events as well, though this is capped as it should have been with the other pets (and most are now) to begin with =P
