So.  The sim that was holding the gift stockings is gone.  Which means that all of the gift stockings are now dead and won't be able to fetch new prizes (they can't find the servers that don't exist anymore).  I suppose that means that it's time to do a gift stocking turn-in so that I can start preparing the new gift stocking servers to roll out.

No, there's no way to recover them.  The old stockings didn't have a function to update the server's UUID and point them at a new server address.   This turn-in and a new set of gift servers has been on the horizon for over a year.  We just didn't know when exactly the old sim would get shut down.

For all of you that have gift stockings (most of you do!), please place your stockings in a folder labeled with your name and the word STOCKINGS2023.  For example, "Jane Doe, STOCKINGS2023"

Some of you will have to box them up, while some of you can simply fit them in a folder.  Whichever is convenient.  Please include a notecard explaining how many stockings you have and what kind they are if you happen to have bought supporter-stockings.  I'll be awarding some kind of extra gift for those of you that have been supporting the store all this time =)  

If you DO have to box up your stockings because you have 40 or more, please place the boxes in a folder labeled appropriately.  Do NOT send me a pile of boxes.  I repeat, please, please do not send me a pile of just boxes that aren't in a folder labeled with your name.  Put 'em in a folder!

As to exactly when the new gift stocking servers will come online...I'm not exactly sure.  It's obviously more of a priority now that the old stocking servers are no longer accessible.   New, better stockings will be given out to everyone for free when the new stocking servers are ready to be released.
