C L A S S E S:
- Wisp – Common. All Wisps by default are 5% worker AND 5% tinker.
- Culler - Same as Soldier acts like a beehive protects against spiders hiding in plants.
- Seeker - Same as Priest/Priestess behaves like a hollow log by healing.
- Dazzler - Same as Bard that sing to your breedable plants and provide them with a special F+ bonus to them and give a small boost to morale and loyalty by half of their tier (hollow logs and crystals).
- Beacon - Same as Prince/Princess boosts morale (hollow logs), boost a creature’s morale and gives them a safe place to heal if they get hurt from a spider hiding in a plant.
- Starling - Same as King/Queen boost loyalty (crystals), boost a critter’s loyalty bonus
- Guardian - Godfathers/Godmothers make pets live longer and grow up faster and can grant mating tokens.
- Luminary – Same as Alchemists behave like psychedelic shrooms boosting mutagenic potential up to their tier in value.
- Stormchaser - Same as Cloudseeders they behave like rain clouds, Increase both the capacity of plants and the amount of food held in a plant. Cloudseeders act like rainclouds, they water the plants.
- Vampire or Zombie - Pre-version V18 (Eternal Body Mutation unlocks - Vampires nibble on all of their friends and keep a high F+ bonus to pass along mutations. As of v18 on wisps the Zombie class will no longer be an unlock and is replaced by the "Spectre" class. All existing Zombie classed wisps will still continue to pass the trait.)
- Spectre - Starting with V18, Spectres nibble on all of their friends and keep a high F+ bonus to pass along mutations.
- Witchdoctor - Voodoo unlock. Witchdoctors are a very special class that can occasionally reduce the mating timers of a PAIR of pets by 33%, at the same time. If the mating cycle is reduced to the point where they can mate immediately, they also gain a large bonus to their mating. Note: Witchdoctors only help their own species!
- Theurge - Occult Particle Mutation can unlock. Theurges act as a Special Blossom with a %-bonus equal to their tier. For example, a tier-12 Theurge would act as a 12% Special Blossom.
- Caretaker - Caretakers increase the speed at which a wisp can mate. •
- Paladin - Culler can unlock. Paladins are a special class that combine aspects of soldiers and priests, and also inspire loyalty in those around them. They're a great menace to spiders, and destroy them in a single stroke, whereas bees and soldiers sometimes take two or three tries to vanquish the villains.
- Saint - Seeker can unlock. Saints provide area-of-effect healing to all of your pets, a special longevity bonus that out-does godparents, enhances the loyalty of all of the pets around them, and their special holy energy provides light for the breedable plants!
- Conjurer - Beacon can unlock. Conjurers provide fairy food.
- Illusionist - Dazzler can unlock. Illusionists act as little fairy fireworks eventually becoming little powerful honeysuckles as their tier rises.
- Assassin - Starling can unlock. This special class passively improves the performance of your garden simply by being there, and will sneak up and insta-kill spiders. Their very presence makes every cog move like a well oiled machine around them. The assassin bonus will apply towards S+ bonus (they passively increase tier, after all, so why not S+ since that's based on tier) as well, increasing the chances of mutations.
- Mystic - Luminary can unlock. Mystics, increase mutation chances, help with morale and loyalty, and...well, get pets into the mood. Their magical mixtures are able to do quite a number of things, and slightly better than the classes that provide similar bonuses.
- Enchanter - Guardian can unlock. Enchanters can create magical light (sparking motes of light) and energy (energy pools) for wisps and plants while also enchanting pets around them.
- Sentinel - Archmagi Particle Mutation can unlock. Sentinels maintain order within your garden, ensure the healthy growth of babies and the long-life of your pets, and make certain that your pet are operating at...peak efficiency...or else (higher-tier assassin).
- Golem - Archmagi Particle Mutation can unlock. Golems destroy spiders, water, prune, and weed plants, clean fairy moon pools, and collect light/energy to give to wisps and plants.
- Elemental - Invocation Particle Mutation can unlock. Increases Ember productivity.
- Sorcerer/Sorceress - Mantra Particle Mutation can unlock. Increases Magic Circle productivity.

M O O D S:
The original default Wisp "moods" (Excited, Angry, Sleepy, Curious, Mellow, Devious, Crazy, Gloomy, Cranky, Blissful, Ditzy, Hungry, Anxious, Lonely, Weird, Silly, Confused, Relaxed, Energetic) have been entirely replaced with a set of additional jobs that any Wisp may potentially get after being born into v18. The Will o’ Wisp default additional job does nothing special, but the following special additional jobs have several affects within your garden:
- Seedgrower; occasionally enhances the chance of plants creating Seedlings
- Stormcaller; occasionally calls in Rain and Mist (replacing Misting Bottles)
- Lightbringer; occasionally creates Light and Motivates pets (Assassin bonus)
- Starchaser; occasionally generates Wisp and Ember energy
- Windseeker; occasionally enhances both Mutation% and Full Mutation Chance
- Luckbinder; occasionally creates bursts of Morale and Loyalty
- Hopefinder; occasionally generates Longevity and speeds up Mating Speed
- Greenkeeper; occasionally Weeds your garden and Waters your plants
- Nightstalker; occasionally generates Moonlight for Moon Pools and Purifies them
- Daystrider; occasionally generates Sunlight for Moon Pools and Purifies them
- Treespeaker; occasionally provides Bonsai Bonus (Tier / 3; Max +5 at Tier 15) and Prunes plants
- Raindancer; occasionally spreads Rain and Waters your plants
- Mistwalker; occasionally creates Mist and Tends your plants
- Firestarter; occasionally creates Light and Ember energy
- Waverider; occasionally spreads waters from Longevity Pool and Energy Pool
- Songchanger; occasionally Motives both plants and pets
- Dreamcrafter; occasionally acts as a Dreamer for a nearby pet
- Bloombinder; occasionally acts as a Dreamer for a nearby plant
- Shardseeker; occasionally enhances Wisp energy crystallization
The base Tier of these additional jobs is two less than the Wisp's own Tier, to a minimum of Tier-1. Treespeakers have a 50-meter burst at Titanic, and sim-wide burst at Mondo or Gargantuan; all other effects are a 20-meter burst, similar to any other pet job.
Wisps perform these additional jobs one-third as often as they perform the duties normally associated with their class. Because they are performing additional duties they will also Tier-up faster than they previously would.
A D D I T I O N A L I N F O R M A T I O N:
Wisps do NOT eat plants...or anything, really. They gain food/energy from everything around them, and absorb it while they orbit. In the continued efforts to remove Sensors and other laggy aspects from the Papillon system, Sensors have been removed that were previously constantly spamming from the Wisps in an attempt to find boosters, pets, and plants to gather energy from. Instead, the Wisps now wait for those boosters, pets, and plants to do their jobs within the Papillon system and gain energy from those accessories doing their job, with the same maximum cap as was applied to gaining energy from the sensor in the first place.
This will result in a different speed of gathering food and crystallizing it. I'm not certain whether or not this will lead to slower or faster energy crystallization, but the Wisps may need need an additional update later if it proves that their energy crystallization is too slow. If it's faster...all the better =)
I am HOPING that this will bring the Wisps in line with the other pets that generate offspring every 3-5 days.
Once their food/energy reaches 100%, they crystalize it into their collection, which builds until it reaches 100%. Once their collection reaches 100% they're ready to mate. Only a single wisp is needed for the mating process; it uses all of the genetic information that it's absorbed along the way (better butterflies/fireflies add better bonuses).
ALL wisps are automatically considered to be part of a sibling pair; after all, their mother was their father, and fice versa. As such, they have very high chances of evolving/mutating. However, the wisp's color will usually be very similar to the parents since only a single parent's color is taken into account, making it very difficult to 'purify' as done with most other Papillon breedables. Field-mutations result in color randomization, similar to wing mutations on the other breedables.
The will o' wisps need uninterrupted time in order to mate properly. If you pick them up and re-rez them, or otherwise disturb their efforts, they may reset their entire collection and have to start over from scratch!

The Will o' Wisps have been upgraded to v18 with all of the bonuses and changes associated with the v18 updates, including a nexus collector and dedicated channel
on the freshly updated control HUD.
The Wisp config menu now has a Swirl option that allows them to spin and swirl around, regardless of whether or not the Wisp is able to move.
The Wisp config menu now has a Glow option to turn on, or turn off, the innate glow of the Wisp to help people that are sensitive to the bright glow associated with many of
the Papillon products.
The Wisp config menu now has a Trail option to turn on, or off, the trailing particles that a Wisp leaves as it moves.
