A Fairy Focus

A Fairy Focus requires a Drop of Fairy Magic (available next to the Focus vendor for L$299) in order to initialize, like many magicaFairy Focus requires a Drop of Fairy Magic (available next to the Focus vendor for L$299) in order to initialize, like many magical products.

The Focus is designed to allow you to have access to low-tier benefits without having to invest in lots of prims and scripts for golems, druids, seedgrowers, familiars, and similar accessories/pets that benefit the plants.  It will NOT, however, replace the obvious benefit to having high-tier pets that would otherwise be doing those jobs.  The base tier of the Focus is Tier-4, and can grow up to Tier-8 over time, but will never exceed that cap.  However, after Tier-8 it will unlock other functions such as generating light, magic, elemental energy, and other low-tier effects in addition to its base functions.

Each of the functions of the Focus can be toggled on or off, including the following options:
• Familiar
Druid
Golem
• Seedgrower
• Feeding Fishies
• Collecting Magic (Dummy Portal)

The range of the Focus can be selected as either ten meters, or twenty meters.  In the same nature as the pets that it replaces, it is not intended to be a sim-wide solution.  There is very little benefit to having multiple Focus -- the highest tier will overrule the others; plants have hard-set caps on how often they can benefit from most of the effects that the Focus can perform.

The Focus keeps track of quite a lot of information and will let you know how well it is performing over time.  Clicking the "Info" blue-menu option will display what functions are enabled and disabled, the progress of the Focus, and how many duties it has performed since it began working, and how long it estimates it will take to reach the next Tier.

Because of how much the Focus does, I've built in several hard sleeps between functions so that it doesn't spam your garden's channel.  This may make the menus feel a little slow or lagged while the Focus is performing its duties, which it does every minute or two.  You will see a message in the Focus hovertext while it is performing duties, such as: 〘Prune〙or 〘Water〙.

**Butterfly Bellflower: I snuck a goodie into the gift stockings that newer breeders may find useful.  It's a cute little daisy that gets stronger it does its job.  It begins at 10m range and eventually ends up sim-wide.  It has different moods that change throughout the day, with each mood being similar to one of the accessories that we have.   It's kind of like a mini-tree that eventually does everything as it cycles, but doesn't give consistent bonuses since it's always switching from one mood to another.  People that don't have a tree that gives constant bonuses will find it useful.  If it gets all the way up to being a Grand Daisy (which will take a while), it will sometimes give a bonus that can be slightly higher than a tree (the bonus amount is random).  Inconsistent, but still a tiny bonus to just about everyone once it grows up.  There's a few 'special daisy' that can reach Fairyfale status and occasionally pop out bonuses better than a tree =)

***Butterfly Bellflower: There are four special ones that can reach 'Fairytale' status and have a bigger buff than the pretty daisys. They can all be sim-wide though.

****Butterfly Bellflower: You could have a little daisy patch if you really want, with them shifting moods all the time.  With five or six of them you could maintain pretty consistent bonuses.

Amplifier (Pets)

The amplifier collects bonuses from your pets, and only your pets, and echoes those bonuses throughout the sim. This allows you to only have one set of boosting pets out instead of multiple sets to cover different areas. Only the bonuses from pets are collected and distributed. The bonuses do not overlap -- multiple amplifiers will have no additional effect other than potentially applying the bonuses more quickly instead of every few minutes. Pets maintain their bonuses for several hours, so there is no need for this constant spam from multiple amplifiers.

The 'Stats' option on the Amplifier's blue-menu will allow you to see what bonuses it has specifically learned from other pets. Bonuses from moon pools, trumpeters, and other sources are not recorded by the Amplifier -- only bonuses learned from a pet. The pets do not constantly spam out bonuses, so it may take an hour or two before it learns all of the bonuses from the pets that it can hear.

The Amplifier is Sim-Wide, and provides a bonus equal to the highest-tier bonus that it has discovered. The amplifier resets every day, requiring the pets to remain near it in order for it to maintain the sim-wide bonuses indefinitely.

The Amplifier's (x) will change to (√) once it has learned a bonus.

Morale (x) (Prince/Princess, Wizard replaces Prince and Princess (+6 Tiers))
Loyalty (x) (King/Queen, Witch replaces King and Queen (+6 Tiers))
Health (x) (Priest/Priestess, Paladin technically does it better)
Tend Plant (x) (Gardener, Tend plant is gardener, but druids and golems do the job too AND do things like prune and water. )
Mutagen (x) (Alchemist, Mystic replaces Alchemist (+1 Tier) Mystic is better)
Mating Speed (x) (Caretaker, Mistress/Master (and Methuselah) replaces Caretaker and Assassins (+2 Tiers))
Longevity (x) (Godparent, Phantom (and Eidolon) replaces Godparents (+2 Tiers))
Motivation (x) (Assassin, Sentinel replaces Assassin (+1 Tier))
Social (x) (Bard, Paladin replaces Bard (+2 Tiers))
Light (x) (Saint, Saint is a  super priest.)
Theurge (x) (Theurge)
Wisp Energy (x) (Wisp)
Ember Energy (x) (Ember)
Sorcerous (x) (Sorcerer/Sorceress)

Dragon and the Czar of Winter replace Wizard and Witch (+2 Tiers over Wizard/Witch)

Listing above shows recommendations for Flutters. Other pets with the same classes will work as well as in Wisp.

Additional comments from Butterfly:

Tend plant is gardener, but druids and golems do the job too AND do things like prune and water. They just don't specifically tend plant as much as gardener does.  Nothing replaces gardener.  They all replace worker. Gardener does an absolute boatload of work for specifically tending plants. But gardener doesn't spread potting soil.  Or prune.

Some classes do several jobs. Paladin replaces bard and priest, technically.  But saint is better than paladin in some cases too.  The base classes just do one thing.  Every advanced class does 2-4 at the same time.

[13:32] Butterfly Bellflower:There are probably six different classes that all give morale on some level. Like, I know paladin gives morale.  But it's not a great source of it.

An Incredibly Powerful Daisy

Bee Hive

This accessory does the combined function of frightening off spiders AND pollenating your plants. Every minute that passes the busy little bees hunt for spiders amidst the nearby plants and randomly spread around pollen tokens. Each pollen token triggers on the plant’s minutely tick, and provides a small bonus to current AND maximum resources, gradually restoring the plant over time and making it more healthy.

Multiple hives do not provide a fully stacked effect, though it DOES further ensure that your plants will usually have a pollen token each tick; a single hive randomly pollenates the nearby plants, skipping some here and there. An excess of pollen tokens doesn’t hurt anything at all…it just means the plant has quite a long ways to grow.

The Bee Hive may also be tapped repeatedly to anger the busy little bees, and cause them to swarm. Doing so ensures that nearby spiders get harassed, but removes any chance of pollenating for the next tick.

Big and Creepy Helper

{Papillon} A Big Creepy Friend (50-Meters, 2020): I'm nice!  Really!  Why does everyone think I'm scary?  I even make plants happy and make everything work harder...and sometimes even give huge bonuses!
